"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." I was released from the hospital on the afternoon of Sunday, August 14th. The surgery was a huge success. The doctor removed ALL of the cancer. None of my organs were effected. I walked out of the hospital cancer FREE! Praise God! And so the recovery period began. The recovery period was without a doubt the toughest thing I have ever experienced in my life both physically and mentally. During that entire period I was important that I rest in God and His strength not try and do anything in my own physical strength. I started with little walks each day. The first walk was to the mailbox. The second walk to the corner and so on. Within a couple of days I was up to 1000 steps and not too long after that 5-6000 steps per day. I was on the road to recovery and feeling stronger each day. Within 60 days I was back in the gym working out and feeling really good. I started working with a few select clients, especially my weekly trip to PureDriven in Two Harbors, Minnesota on the north shore of Lake Superior. I loved that trip each week for a couple of days. I got to work with one of my favorite clients and the beauty of the north show was certainly one of the highlights of my week. Life was rolling along, business and life was good and I was extremely happy. Each day I was so thankful for God’s healing power and His faithfulness and bringing me through this new season in life. This is what I believe. You may chose to believe what you want. That is the beautiful thing about free will. We all have the opportunity to chose what we want to believe. Whether you agree or not there are things in life that are true whether we chose to believe them or not. I don’t believe for one minute I was being punished by God for some sin or crazy thing I committed or did in the past. That’s not who God is or His nature. John 10:10 it reads, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” The thief which I chose to call “Satan” came to destroy my life. End of story. Take a look around. What do you see? Death and destruction everywhere. And so, the journey continues.
